Martina Vandenberg is an Open Society fellow who is setting up a public law centre called Civil Justice: The Human Trafficking Legal Resource Centre, which will bring together pro bono attorneys and human trafficking survivors who need legal assistance and will advocate to improve survivors’ access to justice in the US. Previously, Vandenberg was a partner in the litigation department of law firm Jenner and Block LLP and a senior member of its pro bono committee. She also worked as Europe researcher for Human Rights Watch’s women’s rights division and served as pro bono advocacy counsel to Freedom Network USA.
